Steve Ragland
Contributing photographer Steve Ragland is a Native New Yorker who has refined the art of romancing the soul of his subjects through his lens. After attending New York’s School of Visual Arts, Steve became a much sought after fashion and beauty photographer in cities from Paris and London to Toronto to Taipei. Now working Between LA and Detroit, he continues to produce one-of-a-kind images that are elegant, sensual and timeless.
Christine Burkette
Christine Burkette, Contributing Tech Editor is CEO of Promising Integrations Consulting Firm, Inc. (PICF, Inc.), a female black-owned IT consulting firm. She began her college career at Delaware State University, in Dover, Delaware. In college, she interned at the local hospital (blood bank), DuPont (pharmaceutical), Government (FDA quality control testing), and Playtex (quality control testing). She completed her first Master of Science degree in curriculum and instruction at Capella University, in 2010 and her 2nd Master of Science degree in science at Marygrove College, in 2012. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Michigan State University in Education Technology and Psychology.
Marvin Thompson Jr.
Keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Marvin Thompson Jr. has been creating music for many years. Growing up in Detroit, Michigan, he started playing piano for his church choir. Writing music for numerous musicals and short films, Marvin has released several jazz-infused instrumental projects, including: “In Focus” on the December Sky Label. He has served as Musical Director for several stage plays. Marvin was featured on the television show Detroit Performs, which highlights his musical accomplishments and performances.
