Q.  What inspired you to become a trainer at Don-A-Matrix?

A.  Well, I first started off as an intern for about seven months doing what interns do. Being around greatness made me want to be great, so it just made me work as hard as possible to show him, (Don) that I was serious about my craft.  After those seven months he brought me on as a trainer, and I started to instruct my classes which have been a blessing.

Q.  Have you ever been out of shape?

A.  Of course, I think everybody has at some point.  But as a trainer, you have to be the one to set the example for your clients, so you have to be on end with what you eat and how often you exercise.

Q.   Who’s more difficult to train/workout Men or Woman?

A.   That's difficult to say because everyone's different. It doesn't matter to me if you're a man or woman. I need you to give me 100% effort, and I'll take it from there.

Q.  Does nutrition play a role in being fit? If so, how much?

A.   Absolutely. You will never get the results that you want if you do not fuel your body with the right nutrients. Most people would say the 80/20 rule with nutrition being the highest, but I would say that it is 50% nutrition and 50% exercise. Both go hand in hand, and I believe you can't focus on one more than the other.

Q.  Do you customize your workouts or is it the same philosophy for everyone

A.  No, everyone has different goals and body types, so I go off of what my client's goals are. The only thing that I would say is the same is the work ethic that I put into making sure my clients achieve those goals.

Q.  What are your goals for your fitness career?

A.   I have just recently launched my fitness brand called Project Solomon Fitness. My goal is to build my brand big enough to be known as one of the most prominent fitness professionals in the world.
